In September and October 2016 Council sought community advice and opinion on the long term planning of this playground.

Council sought community feedback on whether the existing equipment should be replaced, or if the playground should be removed and the space landscaped.

The responses to the survey have guided Council on the redevelopment of the playground located in Gardiner Reserve, Wattle Park.

    Potential features

The majority of responses requested the existing playground equipment be replaced with new equipment.

The play features the respondents would most like included are:

    • swinging
    • sliding
    • climbing
    • balancing
    • natural play.

    What happens next?

In line with Council's Playground Replacement Action Plan 2014-2024 this playground has been reviewed; community needs and the future use considered.
