COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT OCTOBER/NOVEMBER 2021
Council is considering opportunities for an upgrade to the triangle of open space at the intersection of Bonvue Avenue and Lascelles Avenue and would appreciate feedback on what features you might like to see.
The opportunity
The triangle of open space at the intersection of Bonvue Avenue and Lascelles Avenue has been identified as an area for a potential upgrade. To assist in developing a concept design for this, Council is seeking your opinion on what elements you would like installed or improved.
About the open space
The area currently consists of un-irrigated turf and trees surrounded by the road and a single residential property. The land has a significant slope of approximately 11 per cent (1:9). Due to this, footpaths along this section of road have been deemed nonviable. Council has previously investigated the possibility of playground equipment in this area, but this was considered unsuitable due to the slope and lack of access.
Potential features
Council seeks your opinion on any improvements you would like in the open space. These may include:
- Garden beds
- Formalised turf areas
- Shade structure
- Additional trees
- Seating
- Drinking fountain.
Your responses to this survey will inform Council on what upgrades are a priority for the open space area.
Feedback requested
Please complete the online survey below, by 5 pm Monday 1 November 2021.
What will happen next?
The results of this survey will be reviewed and incorporated, where possible, into a concept design for potential budget bids in future financial years. The outcome of this concept design along with indicative timings for potential future works will then be communicated to local residents.
