Consultation has concluded
Do you use our Community Centres and Facilities? Then we want to hear from you.
The City of Burnside seeks your view on the proposed new draft policy that has been developed to help Council provide a comprehensive, transparent and practical method of decision-making for the granting of subsidies in relation to the use of our community centres and facilities. The consultation concludes 5 pm on Wednesday 28 May 2014.
What does the new draft policy cover?
The new draft policy is intended to provide a method for allocating subsidies on Council endorsed fees and charges, which are applied when using Council’s community centres and facilities.
The new draft policy does not impact on the nature of the use of facilities or affect the base rate charges for community centres or facilities, which are set by Council on an annual basis through the Annual Business Plan and Budget process.
It does however assist Council administration and applicants to understand a more transparent, consistent and fairer process in the review and subsequent allocation of potential subsidy applications for the community.
Hirers of the Burnside Community Centre, Dulwich Community Centre and/or Burnside Ballroom are invited to provide feedback on Council’s new draft policy. If you would like to make comment on the content of the draft policy or have any questions about the new draft policy please contact Wain Walker, Project Officer Community Centres by using the Email Usform below or call 8366 4222.
The Community Consultation period runs from Tuesday 6 May to Wednesday 28 May 2014.
