Consultation has concluded

Connecting People to Places is the theme of Burnside Council’s City Master Plan project. The Burnside Master Plan is a strategic plan that outlines how Burnside will evolve to meet the Vision set out in the 2030 strategic community plan which is;

A prosperous City with a healthy, safe, connected, and active community, living in green leafy neighbourhoods where lifestyle is admired, heritage is valued, and people and nature live in harmony.

The preparation of this Plan provides an exciting opportunity for everyone connected to Burnside to put forward their ideas to make Burnside the Burnside they envisage in the coming years.

Council is seeking ideas and thoughts from our community about what improvements could be made to provide better connections throughout and around our City.

Connecting People and Places

What are the issues with land use, urban form and transport and what are the future opportunities?

Some questions to help get the ideas flowing:

  • Do you love Burnside's tree-lined streets?
  • Is it easy to travel to most places you need to visit by bus?
  • Do you like the mix of heritage and modern architecture in the City?
  • Is rat-running an issue in your suburb?
  • Is your ideal home available in Burnside? What are you looking for?
  • Could the Burnside environment be improved? How?
  • What do you like?
  • What opportunities are there?
