The City of Burnside seeks your feedback on the Draft Disability and Access Inclusion Plan
A Disability Access Inclusion Plan (DAIP) is a proactive tool that Council will use to improve access to programs, services and facilities that provide people with disability the opportunity to fully participate in all aspects of society. Our DAIP will help us plan for better access and inclusion, and establish and remove existing barriers. It will set out our commitment to long term action along with a set of targeted actions Council can work towards achieving.
Following consultation with the community in May 2020, a draft plan has been developed that aligns with the National Disability Strategy (NDS) and the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) to ensure it meets its obligations in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2018.
We’ve heard you, and want to confirm your thoughts on the draft plan, to help make sure we’ve captured a clear picture of what disability and access inclusion looks like for our City.
Be part of shaping disability and access inclusion in our City and give your feedback via the 'Have we got it right?' tab below.
