What happens next - a three phase engagement

    The survey

Your responses to this first survey will guide Council on how to proceed.

Please confirm if you believe there is a traffic issue that needs addressing, and if so, what are the issues and what traffic control devices would be suitable and acceptable to address the issue.

Council is seeking to have at least 33 per cent of property owners return the survey, and at least 66 per cent of those responses supporting the continuation of the consultation process before proceeding to the next phase of the engagement.

    A public meeting

Should the survey results indicate that residents wish to proceed with a public meeting to discuss the issues and potential treatments in more detail, it is proposed that a meeting will be held at 6.30 pm, Thursday 19 March 2015 at the Eastwood Community Centre.

    A second survey

The third phase of consultation will involve a second survey with specific traffic calming options proposed. This phase would occur in mid 2015.

If the outcome of this phase indicates that there is overall support for traffic calming, but there is no clear single supported treatment type, Council may propose a treatment subject to further consultation with directly affected residents if the treatment is adjacent to their property.

Any required construction work identified from this consultation process would involve construction in the 2015/16 financial year.

Where will the public meeting be held?

It is proposed that a meeting will be held at 6.30 pm, Thursday 19 March 2015 at the Eastwood Community Centre.
