Update

The Hallett Road Traffic Management Changes engagement closed 3 March 2014. The City of Burnside received numerous comments throughout the engagement process, which were taken into consideration. In response to the community input, minor changes were done to the design and these traffic management changes have since been implemented.

New line marking has been undertaken, contributing to reduced speeds and safer driving practices on Hallett Road.

Two additional Pedestrian Refuges were also installed in the area. One adjacent to Newland Reserve, Erindale, and one between Heatherbank Terrace, Stonyfell, and High Street, Burnside.

Since these changes have been carried out, Council has received positive feedback in relation to pedestrian safety and traffic control.
