Residents of Main Avenue, Frewville, have raised concerns about traffic and parking along the avenue. To explore these issues further, Council seeks your opinion on traffic and parking conditions on Main Avenue.

Background

Conyngham Street is a primary collector road that connects Greenhill Road and Glen Osmond Road - both major arterial roads.

As a secondary collector road, Main Avenue connects Conyngham Street to Glen Osmond Road and supports a daily traffic volume, including Frewville residents, of approximately 2200 vehicles on a weekday.

From a traffic management perspective, Main Avenue’s primary function is to ensure motorist access to Conyngham Street

From a traffic management perspective, Main Avenue’s primary function is to ensure motorist access to Conyngham Street, the school and to Glenunga Reserve.

Council seeks to ensure that issues experienced by the residents of Main Avenue, in relation to parking and traffic, are being identified and solutions sought - similar to the issues raised about trucks using Main Avenue by residents.

'No Truck' signage has since been installed.

A recent traffic survey indicates that the 'No Truck' signage should remain in place.

Responses were requested in order to assist with the investigation of the extent of the issues on Main Avenue.
