Consultation has concluded
***UPDATE***
Through the community consultation, twenty-four responses were received, of those who responded, 50 per cent supported the installation and 50 per cent were against.
Noting these results indicate there is no preference from the community either for or against, a new rubble path in this location will not proceed at this time.
The City of Burnside is seeking community feedback on the potential installation of a new rubble path within Hazelwood Park Reserve. This potential new path was identified through the Hazelwood Park Conservation Management Plan, to provide a connection of two existing paths within the reserve, and to formalise what is currently an ‘unformalised pathway’ for reserve users.
Proposal
The proposal is to install a cement stabilised rubble path, with an indicative alignment per the map below (shown in blue). No trees would be removed to accommodate the path, should it proceed.
Consultation is being undertaken consistent with Council’s Footpath Policy. The results of the consultation will inform the decision about whether installation of the path will proceed or not.
How do I provide feedback?
If you would like to provide feedback, please complete the survey below by 5 pm Friday 18 August 2023.
