Playground Upgrade - Fergusson Square, Toorak Gardens
Consultation has concluded
Council is planning to upgrade this playground and would appreciate feedback on what features you might like to see installed.
The opportunity
Council's Playground Strategy has prioritised a number of playgrounds within our City for upgrades in the 2018/19 financial year, including the playground in Fergusson Square.
About the playground
Fergusson Square is located in Toorak Gardens and features a formal landscape with lawns, trees and rose gardens. The playground currently consists of a double swing set, two rockers and a play unit with items including a fireman's pole, tube climber, interactive panels, bridges, a curved slide and a bannister slide.
This Playground Strategy identifies that this playground is for use by children in the 3-6 years age group.
Potential features
Council seeks your opinion on the features you would like to have in an upgraded playground in this space. These may include items like equipment for:
- swinging
- rocking
- sliding
- spinning
- climbing
- balancing
- interactive elements
- natural elements
Your responses to this survey will be used to help design a new and improved play space for this beautiful location.

When will works begin?
The results of this survey will be reviewed and incorporated, where possible, into a landscape design for this play space. The results of the consultation, proposed design and construction time frame will be communicated to local residents before installation work commences.
