The proposed sale of a portion of Moorcroft Court Reserve, Burnside

Council has received a request from the owner of a property adjacent to Moorcroft Court Reserve to purchase a 108m² portion of land from the Council that forms part of this reserve. 

The sale would resolve historical and structural encroachments into the reserve associated with 2 Moorcroft Court, Burnside, including a portion of the dwelling, a concrete path, retaining wall and pavers. 


Moorcroft Court Reserve is approximately 4,164m² and is bounded by residential properties on Warren Street, Moorcroft Court and Chisholm Avenue. The entrance to the reserve is off Warren Street and features Second Creek running from its eastern boundary to the west.

The portion of land is highlighted in red below: 


Proposed land to be acquired


As this portion of land is classified as community land, the Community Land Classification of this land needs to be changed (or ‘revoked’) before any sale can occur. The revocation process requires that Council must consult with the community.
