The City of Burnside has resolved to commence public consultation for the potential revocation of Community Land classification of portions of McKenna Street Reserve and Yeronga Avenue Drainage Reserve noting the adjoining owners have expressed interest in purchasing the land to resolve encroachments.
These portions of McKenna Street Reserve and Yeronga Avenue Drainage Reserve, totalling approximately 639m², are located in Kensington Park and comprised in Certificate of Titles Volume 5669 Folio 942 and Volume 1647 Folio 172. Please see the map enclosed.
As these portions of land are classified as community land, the Community Land Classification of this land needs to be changed (or ‘revoked’) before any sale can occur. The revocation process requires that Council must consult with the community.
This consultation specifically considers a 639m² portion of the Reserves (the subject site) as shown in blue highlight on the following plan:
Any person is entitled to make a submission about this proposal which will be presented to Council for consideration. Any person who makes a submission will be informed of the time and date of a meeting of Council for consideration of their submission should they wish to attend or make a deputation.burnside@burnside.sa.gov.au
