Update

Council sought feedback for a preferred species to replace the existing Cypress trees and Willow Myrtle tree in Dobbie Court, Leabrook.

Three species were considered as suitable replacement species to improve the streetscape amenity and increase the canopy coverage for Dobbie Court.

The majority of responses received selected Magnolia Grandiflora 'Little Gem' as the preferred species for the Court.

Council staff will remove the 13 Cypress trees and one (1) Willow Myrtle in early to mid June, with stump grinding to occur approximately one (1) week after the removals.

An orange mark will be placed on the kerb to indicate the new planting locations, with planting to commence in June 2019.

If you have any questions or comments regarding the management of trees on Dobbie Court, you can contact Council's Urban Forestry Officer, Chris Hawkins, on 8366 4200 or via email chawkins@burnside.sa.gov.au
