SA Water undertakes sewer repairs

SA Water have completed their emergency remedial works on Magill Road. The road is now re-opened to traffic. SA Water will return to Magill Road to complete some “tidy up” work but the disruptions are not expected to be as significant as the initial repair works.

SA Water have closed westbound lanes on Magill Road between Penfold Road and Rowland Road to undertake sewer main repairs. Eastbound lanes remain open with speed restrictions in place.

The duration for the completion of these SA Water works is unknown at this stage, therefore there is the potential that these works could impact the construction schedule of the Magill Village Project as Council's construction team have been requested to cease work until the sewer main has been repaired.

It is important to note that the cause of these problems is nothing to do with the Magill Village Project and is entirely related to SA Water’s infrastructure.
