Work nearing completion
Works are nearing completion on the Magill Village Project.
Landscaping is well underway and it is expected that the majority of road works will be completed by the end of September 2022. Some construction work will still continue into October and potentially November such as:
- remaining soft landscaping.
- edging garden beds.
- installing bus shelters, bike racks, bins, an EV charger, fencing in some locations and a screen for the transformer located adjacent Pepper Street.
Other locations of work that will be underway after September include those detailed in the images below (NB that all work is completed on Magill Road between Rosedale Place and Carey Street).
On Magill Road between Carey Street and Penfold Road/St Bernard Road, work will continue in seven locations:
- New shopping centre signage to be installed.
- Soil retaining work.
- Complete driveway crossover.
- Work on the verge and footpath.
- Complete the western access area at Pepper Street Art Centre.
- Landscaping and paving to complete the Pepper Street Art Centre frontage.
- Construction of additional customer car parks behind Hines Hardware.
On Magill Road between Penfold Road/St Bernard Road and Park Street, work will continue in three further locations:
- Footpath paving on the Tower Hotel corner.
- Paving and constructing retaining walls on the Magill Primary School corner.
- Completing two driveway crossovers opposite Park Street.
