Playground Upgrade - Branson Reserve, Wattle Park

Council is planning to upgrade this playground and seeks your feedback on what features you would like to see installed.

The opportunity

Council's Playground Replacement Action Plan 2014-2024 has prioritised a number of playgrounds within our City for upgrade in upcoming financial years, including the playground in Branson Reserve. To assist in developing a design for this playground, Council is seeking your opinion on what equipment should be installed.

About the playground

The Branson Reserve playground is located between Grenache Avenue and Riesling Crescent in Wattle Park and is nominated to be used predominantly by children in the 3-6 year age range. The playground currently consists of a double swing set, a rocker with three seats and a play structure including twin slides, a sloped rock climbing panel and a shop counter. The softfall is pine chip mulch.

Council seeks your opinion on the features you would like in the playground. These include equipment for:

• Rocking
• Sliding
• Spinning
• Balancing
• Bouncing
• Climbing
• Interactive elements
• Themed play
• Cubbies.

When will works begin?

The results of this survey will be reviewed and incorporated, where possible, into a landscape design for this play space. The results of the consultation and construction timeframes will be communicated to local residents before installation work commences. We anticipate works for this project to occur in 2023.
