Council is reviewing playgrounds within our City to align them with future community needs.

The opportunity

Council's Playground Replacement Action Plan 2014 - 2024 has identified a number of playgrounds within our City to be reviewed to consider their future use and the community needs for these spaces.

To assist in the long term planning for the redevelopment of our playgrounds, Council is seeking your advice on this playground and opinion on what equipment should be installed.

This playground can be accessed from Warrego Crescent and Keyes Street, Linden Park.

The existing play equipment consists of a combination play structure including elements such as climbing rungs, bridge, tunnels, stairs, slide, and a scaling wall on pine chip mulch.

Potential features

Council seeks your opinion on the features you would like in the playground. These include equipment for:

  • swinging
  • natural play
  • rocking
  • sliding
  • spinning
  • balancing
  • climbing
  • interactive elements
  • themed play
  • cubbies.

Your responses to this survey will guide Council on planning for future upgrades of the playground.

    In September and October 2016 Council sought community advice and opinion on the long term planning of this playground.

    Potential features

    Council sought feedback on what equipment should be installed. The play features the respondents would most like included are:

    • swinging
    • natural play
    • climbing
    • sliding.

    What will happen?

    Council has reviewed the feedback and will use it to guide future planning and upgrades of the playground.

    Funding to undertake an upgrade is not available in this financial year. The site will be reconsidered in future budgets.
