Council is piloting a new project to seek nominations from the community for projects to be completed in your neighbourhood. These projects will be installed and maintained by Council on community land such as parks, reserves, road verges and community centres in the City of Burnside.

Ideas can include water fountains, benches, gardens, rubbish bins, little libraries, picnic benches, dog bag dispensers, bike racks, possum boxes and barbeques. Be creative – all suggestions are welcome.

The community decides what projects will get funded

Criteria for projects has been prepared to give you a guide on what projects are eligible, and to ensure that Council will be able to install your idea. This guide can be found in the Document Library to the right of the screen.

All eligible suggestions will be promoted on this site (engage.burnside).

The community will vote online for the projects that will be funded.
