We would love to hear from you!

This tool allows you to make suggestions for improvements in open spaces that are important to you.

Simply select a pin and drag to the location on the map you want to add an idea to. Adda short comment to support your suggestion.

Other residents are then able to see all suggestions and indicate any that they support by ‘liking’ any of the pins.

All suggestions will be reviewed by Council each December and considered as part of the Annual Business Plan and Budget cycle, to see if they can be funded the following financial year. Residents will be updated if their suggestion is successful. Photos of successful projects will be added to this website.The map will be refreshed annually, opening from January to early December each year.

This initiative was launched in 2024/25. If you would like inspiration from projects that were submitted by residents through a similar project in the past, please click on the below link. This page will be updated with additional successful projects in the future.

Instructions

1. Click 'Share your idea' button below
2. The map willopen up the map to show the City of Burnside and existing suggestions. As we have migrated to a new plaform, this map will only show suggestions from 1 October 2026 onwards. All previous suggestions in 2026 are collated and stored ready to review together in December.
3. Zoom into the area you would like to place a pin by using the + or - icon at the top left of the map.
4. Select the pin from the 'Add Pin' menu at the right of screen. You can select from 10 different types of pins. Hover over each pin to reveal it's name e.g. Sport Facilities. Use the top purple pin for all general ideas.
5. Drag the pinto the location you would like to highlight as important to you.
6. Add a comment that provides additional information (e.g. ‘Drinking fountain – to include a tap for filling drink bottles and a dog water bowl, to accommodate the large number of runners and dogs in this park’).
7. You are also welcome to click ‘like’ for any of the other suggestions on the map.
8. Check back regularly to see if there are any new suggestions.
