Draft Open Space Plan

The City of Burnside has many wonderful parks and reserves that provide beloved spaces for our community to gather, play and enjoy. Our open spaces are home to sporting clubs, playgrounds, ovals and countless recreational facilities, often all nestled alongside invaluable tree canopy and wildlife habitat.

In 2024 we asked you to provide feedback on why our open spaces are important to you and the feedback we received from 1,270 respondents who participated in the survey has contributed to the development of our draft Open Space Plan.

The draft plan can be found in the Document Library to the right of the screen, along with a summary document and action plan. Click on the following link for the draft Open Space Plan maps

The summary document identifies the existing gaps and challenges discussed in the background and directions paper, and proposes actions and recommendations to address them.
