Playground Co-design Workshop 2 - Main Street Reserve, Eastwood

What has happened so far on the project?

Council is planning an upgrade of the Main Street Reserve playground and would love your ideas to help shape a fun, welcoming play space for local families.

In April and May 2026, we asked what types of play experiences you would like to see to help guide the design.

On 1 September 2026, we held a co-design workshop with community members, nearby schools, and local groups to help co-design the new playground.

What is the next step?

On 17 November 2026, we will be holding a second co-design workshop where the community will have the opportunity to view the playground's draft design and provide feedback. We look forward to seeing you there. Please review the details below and RSVP to confirm your attendance.

What is a co-design process?

Co‑design is a collaborative process where community members work alongside Council to help shape the playground’s design. The first session in September was for sharing of ideas.

What happens after that?

We’ll share the outcomes of the survey and co‑design process with local residents before works begin. In February 2027, we will provide feedback on the draft design. Construction is expected to occur in the 2027/28 financial year.
