Council's Playground Replacement Action Plan 2014-2024 has prioritised a number of playgrounds within our City for upgrade in upcoming financial years, including the playground in W H Holmes Reserve. To assist in developing a design for this playground, Council is seeking your opinion on what equipment should be installed.
About the playground
W H Holmes Reserve Playground is located between Ayr Street and Park Avenue in Rosslyn Park and is nominated for use by children in the 3-6 year age range. The playground currently consists of a play structure that includes roman triangles, monkey bars, spider pole, two bridges, combat climber, curved slide, wave slide, noughts and crosses play panel, creeping crawler joiner, fireman's pole, rock climbing panel, squeeze panel, stair access, shopfront, steering wheel and telescope. There is also a double swing set, a seesaw and a rocker. The equipment is on pinechip softfall.
Potential features
Council seeks your opinion on the features you would like in the playground. These include equipment for:
- swinging
- natural play
- rocking
- sliding
- spinning
- balancing
- bouncing
- climbing
- interactive elements
- themed play
- cubbies.
Your responses to this survey will guide Council on planning for future upgrades of the playground.

When will works begin?
The results of this survey will be reviewed and incorporated, where possible, into a landscape design for this play space. The results of the consultation, proposed design and construction timeframe will be communicated to local residents before installation work commences.
